Lanuage Lessons

Our Arabic language lessons offer young people the opportunity to learn and improve their Arabic communication skills, fostering deeper connections with their cultural heritage and opening up future academic and career opportunities. Lessons are interactive, helping participants enhance both spoken and written Arabic in a supportive environment

Al-Amal Football Club

The Al-Amal Football Club promotes physical fitness, teamwork, and personal discipline through fun practice sessions and competitive matches. In addition to local games, the club will be playing abroad in Morocco, France, and potentially other nations, giving participants the opportunity to develop their athletic abilities while experiencing new cultures and building valuable life skills like leadership, cooperation, and perseverance.

Health & Diet Discussion

Our health and diet discussions provide young people with essential knowledge on maintaining a balanced diet and leading a healthy lifestyle. Through expert advice and open discussions, participants learn how to make informed choices that positively impact their physical and mental well-being.

Muay Thai Sessions

The Muay Thai Club teaches young people self-discipline, respect, and physical endurance through this dynamic martial art. With professional coaching, participants develop strength, coordination, and confidence, while also learning about the importance of mental focus and resilience. Lead by Coach Ismael, these sessions take place multiple times per week.

Media Club

The Media Club encourages creativity and technical skills in video production, photography, and digital storytelling. Participants explore media creation while learning how to express themselves, build their portfolios, and develop new talents for future career opportunities.

Art Programme

Our Art Programme offers young people a creative outlet to explore their imagination and express their thoughts and emotions through various artistic mediums. From painting to sculpture, participants develop their artistic skills while building confidence, self-awareness, and a sense of accomplishment.

Employability Workshops

The Employability Workshops equip young people with practical skills for the workforce, including CV writing, interview techniques, and professional communication. Through hands-on sessions, participants gain the tools and confidence to succeed in the job market and pursue meaningful career paths.

Group Discussions

Group debates provide a platform for young people to engage in meaningful discussions on current issues, helping them develop critical thinking, public speaking, and argumentation skills. This activity encourages open-mindedness, respect for differing views, and the ability to communicate effectively in a supportive environment.

Mental Wellbeing

Our mental wellbeing and support sessions offer a safe space for young people to talk openly about their emotions, manage stress, and develop coping strategies.  These sessions focus on promoting emotional resilience, self-care, and mental health awareness.

SKYF Ladies Club

Working closely with Total Family Coaching, SKYF set up some sessions to support local mothers with exploring ways to transform how they function with their families and how the second order effects of improving this could help further uplift the community. Aside from discussions, some of the Ladies workshops included art projects, photography and exclusion training.

Youth Vs Police Football

As part of our commitment to raising awareness about the dangers of knife and gun crime, SKYF has organized multiple football matches that bring together youth teams and the Metropolitan Police. These games serve as a powerful way to foster positive relationships, encourage open dialogue, and bridge the gap between young people and law enforcement. By using the universal language of football, we aim to create a safe and supportive environment where players can engage in friendly competition while addressing important social issues and promoting a sense of unity within the community.

Yoga Classes

In partnership with Ourmala, SKYF hosted and had members participating in yoga classes aimed at improving fitness, flexibility and reducing stress. the 7 week course invited youth who would typically not be inclined to these types of activities and it was greatly successful with participants, with them reporting that they have taken away key elements from the sessions and implemented them into their day to day lives.

SKYF Dinner Nights

At SKYF we aim to create a space where youth can let loose, connect with each other and form meaningful bonds. Every once in a while, our staff organise dinner nights where the youth can eat together at various restaurants where we discuss community issues, laugh together and participate in building a real and soulful community.

Activism & Community Support

At SKYF, we pride ourselves in being a pillar for the community and youth around us. As such we are heavily involved in activism and fundraising for local and global issues whether its is raising money and awareness for the victims of Grenfell or fundraising for charity appeals, step by step we act to bring together a better world.
